Folk Fae Fife is a non-profit organisation based in the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland with a mission to further education for all ages about science, technology and innovation in partnership with local schools, museums and community groups as well as to promote the legacy of significant scientists and innovators from Fife.
The Folk Fae Fife highlighted on this website are scientists and innovators who were born in the Kingdom of Fife or lived here. Some studied or taught at the University of St Andrews, St Leonard’s School, Kirkcaldy High School or Beath High School, for example. Some remained in Fife, whilst others left the area and have been traced to Australia, California, Canada and New Zealand.Folk Fae Fife have had a significant impact upon the sciences and continue to make discoveries today.
