The Geology of Coal in Fife exhibit includes two banner posters, which describe the formation, extraction and uses of coal. A display case contains examples of different types of coal, and also plant fossils from the Carboniferous Period.

 

 

 

This exhibit is currently on display at the Fife Mining Museum in Kingussie from 4 July until 29 August.

The Geology of Coal in Fife exhibit was on display at the festival launch in St Andrews on 13 March, at the Fife Heritage Centre in Methil from 1 May to 1 July, and at the Science in the Shopping Centre event in Glenrothes on 3 July. It will also be at Carnegie College, Rosyth Campus, on October 1-2 and at Adam Smith College, St Brycedale Campus, Kirkcaldy, on 13 November 2010.
