Don't forget to come along to Dundee Science Centre during the Festival to see our newest show, Medieval Mechanics, and the Medieval Machines Exhibition.

Castle and trebuchet

We often think of the Middle Ages as "a time of ignorance and superstition". In truth, it was a period of much invention. From machinery to agriculture; spectacles to navigation and beautiful architecture, science owes a lot to medieval times. Join us for this family show to hear about machines invented in the Middle Ages and what these have become in modern times.

Medieval Mechanics is a family-friendly, interactive show performed regularly by our team of Science Communicators throughout the day.

Please find a copy of the festival programme here.

Further details of events can be found on our What's On page.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us during Dundee Science Festival 2018 to explore Dundee City’s culture of science and learning! By taking part in our events to inspire us to keep doing more and more!

Brought to you by Dundee Science Centre, an independent, educational charity.
